Data Engineer (Microsoft Fabric) | Permanent role | Sustainable Climate Tech
Help make the Netherlands more sustainable with data from thousands of installations in the field. Our client, a Dutch manufacturer of sustainable heating, cooling and ventilation solutions, is looking for a Data Engineer to turn that data into insights for the business, compliance and product development, and to help build a future-proof data platform in Microsoft Fabric. It’s a permanent role for 32-40 hours a week in the Rotterdam region, with 40 days off a year and profit sharing on top of your salary.

About the role
You join the department that makes the company’s climate solutions smart and connected. Its work covers everything from embedded software and cloud platforms to apps, monitoring and data-driven services, and your role sits right at the heart of those data-driven services.

You unlock and model data from multiple source systems in Microsoft Fabric, and you design and manage the scalable data solutions and data flows behind the company’s data-driven ambitions. In Power BI you turn monitoring and asset data into dashboards, analyses and reports for compliance reporting, business decisions and product improvements. Throughout, you work closely with stakeholders to translate their information needs into data-driven solutions.

You’ll be employed directly by our client in a permanent role of 32-40 hours a week, based in the Rotterdam region. Depending on your education and experience, the salary goes up to €4.000 – €5,000 gross per month, plus a bonus and a profit-sharing scheme.

Who are you?

• A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (HBO/WO) in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering & Management or a related field
• At least a few years of experience as a Data Engineer, BI Engineer or in a similar data role
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL and Python
• Experience designing scalable data solutions and building ETL/ELT processes across multiple source systems
• Analytical, and able to explain complex data clearly to different stakeholders
• Looking for a permanent position (this role is not open to freelancers)
